Blond Ambition (@b4boy) is the new solo project from Ex Cops’ founder Brian Harding. After living in the woods of upstate NY for three years, Harding spent a month in LA, recording what would later become a full length album with producer & friend Andrew Miller. 

The first material from those sessions is single 'Hurricanes' - a lush and dream inducing track set against a crisp world beat, purposeful bassline and astral guitar parts. 'Hurricanes' suggests a world that's both catchy and complicated - an undeniable sense of heaviness permeates the track, but it's buoyed by acceptance. Mature material by an artist who understands that music must be personal, despite the risk. Traces of acts E.S.G. and '77 Dead can be heard in the material. 

'Hurricanes' is bundled with B-side 'Confused Forever'. Blond Ambition’s debut LP will be released early 2017.

The Hundred In The Hands can now announce the release of the first single taken from their upcoming album ‘Red Night’. The 12” single is due out on   May 28th via Warp Records. The vinyl will include an original B-side, ‘Mountains’ as well as remixes from Andy Stott, Patten, and two reworks from JD Twitch. The anthemic “Keep it Low” has a driving rhythm that underpins Eleanore Everdell’s seductive and wistful vocal turn and Jason Friedman's echoing guitars and spiraling atmospherics building the song from its melancholy beginning to a fever pitch.
 
The Hundred in the Hands chose remixers who’ve inspired them, the band says “We were listening to Andy Stott’s ‘Passed Me By’ and “We Stay Together” EP’s a lot as we started the record. So many good ideas and textures, with low end in the extreme that kind of rattled our minds a bit. When it came to looking for people to remix, he was first on the list. The legendary Optimo duo have been such an influence on so many artists in recent years, and in maybe too many cases we end up liking their versions a bit more than the originals. We just had to ask. JD Twitch turned in two versions, each unique and equally epic. We couldn’t make up our minds so, we stuck them both on. We’d been hearing bits from Patten and got excited. It’s hallucinatory, uneasy and fractured. Pretty much everything we like. “Mountains” was a track that was written totally in the flow of the album but still just couldn’t fit in, it just wouldn’t play nice with the other tracks and just became its own beast of a thing. This seemed like the best place to let it out.”
 
The band are also due to showcase their new material at Hoxton Bar and Kitchen on 31st May.
