Skatman’s new release is a masterclass in remoulding and reanimating the past. Across Rewarped, the Tunisian-born producer, DJ and label head slams old school hip-hop samples into jacking house tracks, providing connective tissue between distinct musical eras to deliver six new cuts of pleasure-seeking club music. “Taking familiar elements and giving them a fresh twist,” says Skatman aka Aziz Haddad.
 
“The prefix "Re" signifies the reuse or repetition of something, while "Warp" suggests the act of reshaping or distorting it.

After a string of releases on 96 Musique and labels like Armada and Hexagon, KuKs is back with a new single that pushes boundaries. On “Bulgar”, the French producer teams up with Greek talent Nikos Tryfonopoulos for a deep and trippy Afro House track infused with Bulgarian flavors. As the title suggests, “Bulgar” taps into Balkan influences, built around a striking oriental-style guitar riff that instantly sets the tone. The groove is deep, the mood is hypnotic, and the result is a track that’s both dancefloor-ready and full of character. KuKs, who has racked up over a million streams and received support from heavyweights like Tiësto, Don Diablo, and Fedde Le Grand, continues to carve his own path in the global house scene.
