Over The Rainbow a la Judy Garland

Played around with some free audio sources for my play. Elephant sneezes are far too subtle to be heard on a little phone by an audience, so a recognizable elephant sound would probably have to be used instead. The point isn't even the little girl, it's the elephant and the fact that it's hilarious. Reality vs Theater! C'est difficile!

A friend of mine kindly made an 8bit video game version of the German lieder I wrote for Music Theory two years ago. Thought it sounded like a village theme in an early Final Fantasy game. :)

Whispering Lullaby - 8bit

In second year theory we had to write an art song. I was happy to write a German lieder because the melody lines are very emotional and flowing (and I am partial to the Romantic period). Italian art songs focus on the voice's technical prowess while French and German invoke more emotion, generally. I chose a lullaby by Clemens von Brentano (1778 - 1842). I'm very proud of it--it's my most finished composition that's this fleshed out to date. This piece is for soprano or clarinet, violin, cello and piano.
