Blind Vision Records celebrates 5 Years of underground sounds with the first of three superb new competitions. Each one offers 10 tracks from the label's back catalogue and this first one includes the likes of Niko Maxen, Read Meat Therapy, Julenn, Yanee, Devv and R.A.P.

This well-respected label is the brainchild of Peruvian-born, London-based Alejo Galvez. Between Blind Vision Records and Blind Vision Dubs he has focussed on deep house, minimal and dubbed out tech sounds across both vinyl and digital. Always fresh and forward-looking, the sounds of this label have always very much been the sounds of now with a focus on young, raw, exciting artists from across the globe.

Niko Maxen opens up the first volume with the high-speed and supple electronic funk of his Erie. Lorik's Additive Changling gets down deep and dirty on a taught baseline with plenty of alien sound effects detailing the punchy groove. Last year's Read Meat Therapy tune Back Again still sounds fresh with its ghoulish vocals and minimal tech drums, and other highlights take in Mikhu & Fulvio Cala's Molecular Clouds and Alex Ranerro's Organ Fever, which gets more spaced out and heads off to the cosmos on its leggy drums and rich bass. Further gems come from Julenn, ADMNTi and Yanee and closing out the collection is R.A.P's excellent basement house sound, Always Smoke.

This is a perfect snapshot of the Blind Vision sound that has become so essential.
