Although considered a millennial, DJ SPK's knowledge and love for Hip Hop inspired her to make this mix in homage to what some consider the Golden Era of Hip Hop. Even with an appreciation for modern Hip Hop, DJ SPK decided to use this platform to express her frustration with new school "hip hop" deejays and those who underestimates her skill and knowledge of the craft simply because she is a woman. This mix is an expression of DJ SPK's undying love for Hip Hop and deejaying.​

DJ SPK is an Atlanta/Charlotte-based DJ, producer and creator/content curator for StereoTypez. She has solidified a host of gigs nationally including the Big Beat Fest, Microsoft Store DJ, and being RAW Artists’ resident DJ for Charlotte. As a Marketing and Promotions coordinator and DJ for Radio One's 92.7 The Block and Old School 105.3, DJ SPK is quickly establishing herself as a taste maker in Charlotte's music scene. SPK is also the host of StereTypez Radio for W646 QCB digital radio.
