Since April 2021 the people of Colombia have been protesting peacefully against corruption and unfairness from their government entities. These protests have been permeated and violated by terrible police brutality. There have been documented disappearances of hundreds of people, killings of civilians by police forces, sexual assaults made by members of the police, and thousands of injured victims according to the non-governmental organization ONG Temblores, who have been documenting the situation.

The compilation "100 Years Of Colombia" brings the Techno scene together to make attention and awareness of what's happening in Colombia, with a hope for a better future. All the income from the compilation will be donated to charity organisations across Colombia.

ColPaz is a NGO that deals with current social development issues in Colombia, and also intermediates support towards third party organisations in defense to civil human rights against excessive police abuse. They are facilitating our contact with several organisations across Colombia to receive the funds we will raise with this compilation, including: Desaparicion forzada , Movice (Movimento Nacional de Víctimas de Crímenes de Estado) and Red Juridica Feminista, amongst others to be confirmed."

Based somewhere down the industrial harbour of Rotterdam, the fresh started 'Self Reflektion' techno imprint has found its birth and presents its first release. The person responsible for starting the label is stranger, also going by the not-so-mysterious name of Mitchel Polderman in daily life. His debut release 'Warehouse Memoires' reflects his passion and interest for the 90's warehouse rave sound in various ways, all produced while living in a Warehouse down the docks of Rotterdam. 

Featured on the release are the original mix, a recording which can be marked as a 2014 stomping warehouse techno track. The 'UK Rave mix' probably speaks for itself, breakbeat influenced techno, 90's UK warehouse material. The US Revival mix takes you from Chicago to New York in 4 minutes, and closing off the release is the Bergweg mix - an additional DJ Tool for the oldschool hoover freaks.

On A side we find Self Refelktion Boss Stranger in an acidic distorted exercise, injecting on “Motief” the perfect balance between pounding techno beats a la 90's Axis release and Woody McBride 303 loops and a little " je ne sais quoi " to make you jump on the Dancefloor. On the flipside, ROD mastermind fates the heavy artillery with “Shut Up And Dance”, a nod to the now defunct and eponymous mythic Rave London label. Distorted yet irresistible electro techno tones characterize this pure Ravey anthem calibered for spacious warehouse with a generous sound system.

this is the first version i did of my track 'One Day', originally intended as an anthem-ish album tune for an album that did not come together eventually. later on i did a complete new version that was released on REFLEKT010. this breakbeat / rave version was made around 2015.

His first musical appearance in 2014 was quickly picked up by established names as Dave Clarke, Sven Vath and Marcel Dettmann, giving his career aswell as his own Self Reflektion label a major kick-start. While remaining in the background pushing forward talented artists and working on various projects such as the highly anticipated Paling Trax label, his dj-career is on the rise. His name can be found on the line-ups of some of the biggest clubs and events in techno such as Awakenings, Tresor and many others. This is not your average ‘unknown artist’…
