WHOMP001 : ANNX b2b Lora Mipsum

S:S 014 comes from Italian/Albanian artist Brad Alloc. 

We came across his mixes after hearing them on a long car journey to a festival last year from what can only be described as a cosmic serendipitous link up with Brad's aka Stiven's best friend.  Being treated to at least 4 of his mixes on our trip, we were impressed with his fluid, genre hopping style, and his ability to weave together ambient, IDM, deep techno and trance in a unique, lucid and hypnotic way - both rhythmically and texturally. 

A regular on Radio Raheem in Milan with his Biocybernetics show, Stiven is also a lover of the outdoors, and is responsible for the aptly named Mycelium forest parties in the mountains of North West Italy that he puts on with his OOM collective.

42nd Avenue, also known as Thijs, hails from Amsterdam and brings us Transmission 17. We first connected with Thijs through mutual friends at no.clubs. He’s a prominent figure in Amsterdam’s underground scene, playing a key role in the creation of nano.clubs, an exceptional (albeit short-lived) venue renowned for its impeccable sound and setup. In addition, Thijs runs his own ad-hoc party, Club Cohesie, which moves between various spaces in Amsterdam. His sets and mixes are hard to categorise, as they seamlessly drift through a variety of styles, and this mix is no exception. A avid vinyl enthusiast, he recorded this mix at home with two turntables and an A&H mixer. Enjoy x

We met whilst sharing a bill at the legendary sub:system party in London and alongside playing around Europe, he’s put out a string of amazing online mixes - always featuring progressive gems and psy wobblers. It’s a huge pleasure to welcome Galo to the pod :)
