A slightly more gentle approach than my usual mix, starting in some DnB and progressively getting weirder and heavier through some Dub and finishing in IDM/Glitch with a sprinkle of Math Metal because why not.

Toroidal is a 24-year-old DJ and producer from Byron Shire, Australia, who made his debut in the local music scene in late 2022. He now has 16 events under his belt, and had shared the stage with artists such as Jacob, Smilk, Spoonbill, Bri & Si, Bornvibe, Crooks, and Bustaflux.

Toroidal aspires to be a conduit for harmonious, uplifting, enlightening, and psycho-spiritually healing energies through music and aims to serve as a beacon of light in the local electronic dance scene and to perfect his production skills to achieve international recognition.

Toroidal has performed at various events, including various Mullum Madness parties, Resonant Frequency, Hidden Dimensions, Industry Labs (K)oterie Kitchen, Doofentials: The Engagement, Spyral Collaborative's Fractal Dreams, Rainbow Dreams, LaLaLand and Psy Camp, Wizards of Kingston's Spring Camp Out 2023, Bardo & Dead Horse Inc's Hexxus Bushdoof, Cicadian Harmonic's Anything & Everything, and HighLights Community's Teknival.

Even whilst deep into writing and producing his debut multi-genre album, Toroidal is hard at work furthering his musical legacy, recently founding Mullum Madness Records and Full Spectrum Events with local producers, DJ's and friends.

Coming from a deep love of audio in all genres of the musical world my mixes encompass the chaotic energy that is my usual brain and life. I create soundscapes with intricate layering of melodic chords partnered with deep wobbly bass lines, or bouncy funky upbeat danceable journeys, often dissonant but somehow drawing to the ear.

Nearly always incapable of staying in a lane, I craft journeys of sound that lead one from a trance like wonder through to dark swampy sounds, filled with elements of emotion and raw instrumental and classical elements. I combine genres, bend the rules and blur the lines between dance and journey.

Slowly building a name amongst the NSW and broader East Coast Australian underground music scene. 

Playing events such as, Dragon Dreaming 24, Esoteric Festival 2024, Basscamp 22 & 23, Subsonic, Sub-Terra, Movement, Tribe Ascension, Airwaves, Origins Of Entropy, Void Of Entropy, plus a plethora of smaller local events and a resident DJ and Core Memebr of Newy Bass Crew performing with them at many events around the Newcastle region.

All of my early work will always remain on the profile, covering the journey I have made in my progression of mixing from terrible talentless beginnings to a very mildy more experienced DJ, with a greater sense of my own unique sound and direction.
