A *Very* rough edit of a set curated for Airwaves warehouse party hosted by Cabin Fever Crew on 16/4/2022

Due to a terrible turn of events that has lead to the loss off all my equipment and music collection this set is being released as an unfinished and without being performed as intended and before the event is scheduled to commence.

This will be my final set for the foreseeable future as I try to rebuild my hardware and music collection.



AIRWAVES-Draft

A 50 minute slow ride of Psy-Dub and Mid-Tempo Bass, performed live for Newcastle Fire And Flow's Winter event and 6th birthday. 

A bit of a different path than I usually take, the track selection was chosen for its symbiosis with Flow Arts and spinning fire.

This is what you'd call the "Director's Cut", as my first recording of this turned out to be a few minutes over an hour, so I trimmed it down for the performance on the night but thought I'd leave my last few tracks in place for the Soundcloud version for those that might wanna hear the whole thing.

A slightly more gentle approach than my usual mix, starting in some DnB and progressively getting weirder and heavier through some Dub and finishing in IDM/Glitch with a sprinkle of Math Metal because why not.

Shut down by the PoLiCe, but couldn't stop the filth being thrown down, we renegade on through the weekend.

In true definition of Entropy we were shut down before it even started and pushed to 2 other locations, but they couldn't stop the party. The sheer determination by the event organisers and through massive support from the crew who worked extra hard to build and strip 3 locations and still host a sick event.

Massive thanks to the people out there who worked round the clock in some moments to throw a huge event and make it so special even with all the hurdles.

Entropic Originalities (Origins Of Entropy Renegade Live)

A 1 hour wander down some wobbles and wonks to a slower pace, performed live at Rosa's Rooftop Newcastle, as one of the final parties ever at the venue.

Sunset Roses (Skyscape Bass Live)

My set from NBC's Sonic Mixology event held at Meantime in Hamilton.

1 hour of journeyesque bass. I had heaps of fun making and playing this mix, its a bit of a showcase to how far i have come as a performer and artist

In The Meantime...

A beautiful hour of morning wobbles, performed live at Basscamp 2023 on an amazing private property in the Australian bush.

It was truly an honour to be welcomed back to the Basscamp site to play again this year. the crew and team really stepped their game up with line-up and production, a full 3D stage, huge entertainment area, chillspace, live interactive visuals, amazing flow performances, and a weekend spent with some beautiful people.

This became my favourite festival of last year, and has cemented its place in my heart this year as the best party available in MSW and possibly Australia for me. I look forward to many more years of celebration and Bass Music at future Basscamps

Back To Bass (Basscamp 2023)

My set recorded live at Tribe Ascension III on a gorgeous property in the Blue Mountains.  Truly lucky to have been welcomed onto this land for one of the most wholesome times I've had at any point on the journey. 

what a tremendously wonderful group of humans I connected with, what an amazing space to share some peace and genuine connection in.

Thank you Tribe, I will return next year for another edition of this fulfilling gathering.

Ascending The Mountains Blue (Tribe Ascension III Live 17/12/2023)

What an insanely good event this was, hard hitting local bands and heavy electronic music in 1 place all night!

After a whoopsie with scheduling, I wasn't able to play my planned gentle journey for Esoteric 2024. So here's a replay throwdown of some massive Friday afternoon vibes to wind the party up.

What an honour to be welcomed onto the Sickest House lineup for Esoteric 2024. It was a huge weekendd of some incredible memories and, without a doubt, the most insane festival I've ever seen. Words simply cannot describe the experience that Esoteric actually is.

Massive opportunity to play this event, and I feel truly honoured to have been welcomed onto the lineup. Newy Bass Crew's takeover of the first deck went down in an astonishing fashion.

This set was a surprise to me, as in true Whompus style I had an all new technical error with my USB resulting in a change of plans on the spot. But all things happen for a reason, and this once again turned out to be a blessing in disguise as the replacement ideas landed so hard that I couldn't care about not having my plans.

A massive selection of tunes carefully chosen to both impress and annoy Dread Maiden. This set is a very special birthday set for the one and only Dread Maiden, the pillar of NBC the powerhouse DJ and all around amazing hooman who I am so lucky to call my friend.

Coming from a deep love of audio in all genres of the musical world my mixes encompass the chaotic energy that is my usual brain and life. I create soundscapes with intricate layering of melodic chords partnered with deep wobbly bass lines, or bouncy funky upbeat danceable journeys, often dissonant but somehow drawing to the ear.

Nearly always incapable of staying in a lane, I craft journeys of sound that lead one from a trance like wonder through to dark swampy sounds, filled with elements of emotion and raw instrumental and classical elements. I combine genres, bend the rules and blur the lines between dance and journey.

Slowly building a name amongst the NSW and broader East Coast Australian underground music scene. 

Playing events such as, Dragon Dreaming 24, Esoteric Festival 2024, Basscamp 22 & 23, Subsonic, Sub-Terra, Movement, Tribe Ascension, Airwaves, Origins Of Entropy, Void Of Entropy, plus a plethora of smaller local events and a resident DJ and Core Memebr of Newy Bass Crew performing with them at many events around the Newcastle region.

All of my early work will always remain on the profile, covering the journey I have made in my progression of mixing from terrible talentless beginnings to a very mildy more experienced DJ, with a greater sense of my own unique sound and direction.
