Introducing ViBase, aka Maximilian McInerheney. Hailing from the sun-soaked eastern beaches of Eora (Sydney AU), this bass-music virtuoso is your ticket to a world where sound takes on a life of its own.
ViBase's passion for bass music has led him to curate a mesmerising blend of genres, including 140 deep minimal dubstep, drum and bass, psybass, psybient, glitch hop, halftime, downtempo, and everything in between.

ViBase has spent the last 6 years reigning in the horns of the dragon of production with Ableton, crafting original tracks that seamlessly blend into his sets. This dedication to music production adds a unique and personal touch to every performance.

He has graced the stages of events such as Dragon Dreaming, Art Valley, Basscamp, Kamelia Presents Grouch, Kamelia Presents Sumiruna, Headz R Rolling Presents Comodo, Earthern Rhythmics, Vyoma, Burning Seed, Unity and Tribe, to name just a few. These experiences have cemented ViBase as a prolific fixture in the Australian electronic music scene. With almost 10 years of DJing in the bag ViBase’ sets are curated with intention, resonating with the energy of the moment, offering a safe haven for exploration as you traverse various emotional states. 

Beyond his musical endeavors, ViBase wears many hats. He is the visionary curator behind Vyoma, an electronic music and lifestyle festival that promotes substance-free enjoyment. He also excels as a ceremonialist, a visual artist, a Kendama sensei, and a loving father. His multifaceted life is a testament to his commitment to creativity and community.

My closing set for the launch party of Lowfreq., a new showcase of all things deep and dark. Massive props to all of the DJs that performed and spun some wicked deep dub, left-field bass and IDM.

This set journeys from 140 deep dub, through 160 half-time and footwork, and finishes on some moody and techy dnb. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did playing it out!

Coming from a deep love of audio in all genres of the musical world my mixes encompass the chaotic energy that is my usual brain and life. I create soundscapes with intricate layering of melodic chords partnered with deep wobbly bass lines, or bouncy funky upbeat danceable journeys, often dissonant but somehow drawing to the ear.

Nearly always incapable of staying in a lane, I craft journeys of sound that lead one from a trance like wonder through dark swampy sounds, filled with elements of chaos, anxiety, fear, and joy. I combine genres, bend the rules and blur the lines between dance and journey mixing.

Slowly building a name amongst the NSW and broader East Coast Australian underground music scene. 

Playing events such as, Basscamp 22 & 23, Subsonic, Sub-Terra, Movement, Tribe Ascension, Airwaves, Origins Of Entropy, Void Of Entropy, plus a plethora of smaller local events and a resident DJ and Core Memebr of Newy Bass Crew performing with them at many events around the Newcastle region.

All of my early work will always remain on the profile, covering the journey I have made in my progression of mixing from terrible talentless beginnings to a very mildy more experienced DJ, with a greater sense of my own unique sound and direction.
