And here we have a Coldplay Cover/ crack!song, because Moriarty's cool like that. For some reason I'm not really satisfied with the outcome...

Thanks a lot to Emeline, who came up with this in the first place, it's a rather perfect idea! When I suddenly found an ask saying 'you need to do a coldplay/moriarty cover where it's 'I will try to skin you' instead of 'fix you'" there was absolutely no possible way I could've said no, so I changed the rest of the lyrics as well (though most of it turned out to be pretty fitting already ;) and then recorded the thing today.

Also, the cover really reads 'moriarty', check out this site. And I should probably mention that I used this instrumental.

John's Lament

Originally, this was planned to have lyrics, of which the first verse is now the title. So definitely another one for the 'fancy title' category. 

I have no clear idea why, but I transcribed this, and there's actual sheet music. Probably because I find the theme rather neat, it's all played within an octave, both left and right hand. The notation isn't exactly spot-on, especially regarding the transitions, I focused more on just the accurate notes; you might need to experiment a bit with rythm and volume.

(And eventually moves in with him. Though that didn't happen in the books. I don't care. THEY ARE CRABBY OLD GENTLEMEN CACKLING TOGETHER AS THEY HOBBLE AWAY FROM THE VILLAGE MARKET HAVING SOLVED SOME MYSTERY BEFORE SOME MORE INCOMPETENT POLICE OFFICERS AND GOING HOME FOR TEA AND HONEY AFTERWARDS. OKAY? OKAY.)

So NotDarkYet (http://oneoftheexactsciences.tumblr.com/, or http://soundcloud.com/notdarkyet) came to me with ideas and guitar chords in her magical pocket and we collaborated on this song. It's complete domesticity and Sherlock-and-John bickering, which was really fun to write: I wrote all of Sherlock's parts, and she John's.
