Who’s Runnin’ is a classic four-piece rockband that picks up the torch from the big, melodic rock productions of the 80s and 90s. Centerstage we have good melodies, grand arrangements, and a good deal of guitar and choruses that pack a punch. 

Who’s Runnin’ are:
Mark Hoff Nielsen: leadsinger, rhythm guitarist.
Mads Thorlann: leadguitarist, backing vocals.
Peter Briand Clausen: bass.
Lasse Bruun: drums.

While Mark and Mads primarily write the songs, the band emphasizes that it takes a team-effort to make each track work. The essence of the band’s style was three years in the making, but in 2012 they released their first single ’Status’, which was well received.

In 2013 Who’s Runnin’ recorded their first EP, once again influenced by classic rock heritage. Honoring this heritage doesn’t mean that the band won’t try out new things, but everything is played by hand, no cutting corners by using samples, etc. 

All band members have been in music since they could walk, and they’ve had pro- and semi-pro carreers in other settings, before combining their forces in Who’ Runnin.’
They’re very different musicians and people but they all cherish and work towards the same thing; when great sound and a great audience meet a great performance on a great night. These moments are the driving force behind these four hardworking bandsmen, who combine a wide variety of influences in their sound: 
Cool & The Gang, Sting, Toto, Dave Matthews Band, Manfred Manns Earth band, Muse, Coldplay, AC/DC, Beatles, Paul McCartney, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd og U2… To name a few (!).

When asked what they’d like to see more of in the music business today, the answer is simply ’a greater openness to genres.’ In their time they’ve seen a very uniform approach to the booking of bands for festivals, venues, and also playlistings on the radio. Yet, as they put it themselves: ”When it’s party-time people want to rock. Why not let them?’

As mentioned their first single ’Status’ was well received, and there are other great tracks available online, (the new EP is on Spotify and Wimp). A quick show of hands in the tourbus reveals that the band’s own favorite song right now is: ’Curse the Sun, Praise the Moon.’ 

But if this quick vote would lead anyone to believe that this is a band where the members easily agree on everything, then think again. At least it’ll be a long time before they reach any sort of agreement in the matter of ’the big three’: Which three albums would they bring to a desert island?
