Welcome to another episode of the Who's Who in St Lou show!
On this episode, I am joined by Travis Sheridan who is the Executive Director of Venture Cafe, a weekly event in which people from all of the St. Louis area come together to learn and have "Serendipitous Collisions" while networking.
Travis, who is originally from the Fresno California area is known in the St. Louis area as someone who is always looking to get involved with trying to make things better.
Have a listen to hear about Travis selling landscaping rocks from a wagon with a friend as a child, then he shares a story in which you would not be too surprised if he had been charged with multiple felonies as a teen.
He then discusses what led him to St. Louis and how he became involved in GlobalHack with Gabe Lozano and Drew Winship and also how he came to be in his current position.
It was a very fun discussion to be a part of and I hope you enjoy listening as much as I did recording this talk.

Travis Sheridan

On this episode of Who's Who in St. Lou, I bring you Thomas Schlafly who is the co-founder of the Saint Louis Brewery under which the wonderful Schlafly beer is brewed and distributed.
We start our interview talking about him being a Priory graduate and a little comparison between private and public schools and some of the other very well known St. Louisians who have gone through the St. Louis public school system of which his father was a board member of the St. Louis Board of Education for 28 years.
We then move into discussing how the Saint Louis Brewery came to be as well as how he met his co-founder Dan Kopman.
Learn which of the Schlafly brews are Toms favorites and which ones he is most proud of. Also listen for which offering has surprised him the most at how successful it has been.
Finally, what does Tom look to drink when traveling and he cannot consume his own products?

Did you know that the St. Louis Gateway Arch is not only the tallest memorial in the United States, but also the tallest stainless steel monument in the world? It measures 630 feet tall, and 630 feet wide from the center of one leg to the center of the other.
I share a bit more information about the Arch including the fact that it is now 50 years old.
