A Life of Us

Composed and produced by Alex Lohr. WhotheFolklohr original as of last night. What is success and how pretty is it? What are woman doing to perpetuate abuse, and what are men preparing themselves for, in a future lover, after the long run at destroying themselves. Also i think "Give me truth or cocaine" is a subtle mantra to our generation and is in reference to the increase of people joining together at festivals and straying away from their government. Because you know those government mo foe's are doing all sorts of shady illegal things, so in response, let's say fuck it right back to them and in our own way. Don't feel bad about taking advantage of the system because there's no equation, so there's no system. Do what they do to get "successful" but this time let's make a system!


 This song is a reflection of the world around me, us, like how is it that the hardest workers stay at the top, and the rough reality of our culture and acceptance as long as drug use goes hand in hand with success.  and for those of us trying to achieve crazy goals; we're in for some crazy love. Composed and produced by Alex Lohr. Written after waking up at 5am in Josh Garzas basement. I woke up dreaming about a song influenced by "Bitch don't Kill my Vibe" by Kendrick Lamar. Though this sounds nothing like him. I listened to the birds at 6am that morning and the song in my dream turned into this. Sorta, it's been years since i wrote it and i finally produced a demo. WhotheFolklohr started in Wilmington, NC and produces electric beats, uses mostly live keys with soothing vocals and moving lyrics. 
I'm currently promoting and booking myself in Wilmington, NC and using my resources to create my first professional album as well as connect to a larger audience. In my first year of creating WhotheFolklohr, 2015, I gathered every piece of equipment I have now, wrote at least 40 songs, recorded over 30 demos and played over 30 shows. That included a tour I promoted and booked from places like Ziggy's By the Sea (Wilmington, NC,) Lou Orleans (Lousiville, KY) Notre Dame Campus (South Bend, IN) and Eagles (Bozeman, MT). It is now 2016, and everything I've learned last year is now condensed into experience, love, and a clear direction.
