This is my submission for Destiny's 'Composition Challenge #10'.

I see the outs,
catching on now.
I broke some contract.

So when I stay,
knocked down a peg,
waiting for contact.

So now it's lost,
from where I made,
good friends with you.

Playing things safe,
was your mistake,
back in the Northwest.

Spotted a lizard on the floor and,
I tried to give it a future.
You're somewhere I can't see,
up late throwing thoughts to the cold beach.

I forgot somehow,

Waking up next door,

The song was inspired by and dedicated to my long lost friend, Mike Allen, as well as Byron, who both took their own lives, leaving us too soon. (Lyrics below)
