Lucy Black + White is about one of my best companions growing up. Lucy was a Black and White Border Collie who looked after me as a kid. One of the best dogs and a beautiful soul that deserves a song.

Newspapers in the Well is inspired by the things the greatest generation had to do in order to get by. For a child with imagination, the farm had places to discover. 

Those places are gone now, covered up by progress, but the memories can live on when they’re brought back by music. Why Coyote Why’s instrumental music encourages the listener to bring their own context to create a uniquely personal experience; your story’s soundtrack.

Ferris Red Brick is another instrumental release by the band, Why Coyote Why. It was written to memorize things from the past, a tribute to the love and thought invested in making a home no matter the circumstance.

2600 Ovilla Rd, is inspired by a real place. This is where I grew up. It's the plot of land that my family started their farm 100 + years ago. This song is meant to memorialize a place that no longer exists, and urges the listener to bring their own context; maybe stirring memories that might have otherwise been lost.

Walking Through Ashes was inspired by the death of my parents and the fire that erased nearly all material evidence of their life's goals. Walking through the remains of their hard work, while altering my own understanding of legacy and values. This is a peaceful memorial and a reminder the legacy is not material.

Why Coyote Why is an instrumental rock project attempting to create a flood of sound that captures a feeling, a place in time, or a memory. Their first single "Tallow Roots," released in November 2019 is the first in a growing catalog of tracks to be released periodically throughout the next year.
