German duo Obscure Shape & SHDW drop three robust Techno tracks in their first full release on Rekids this May.

One of the most exciting acts in Techno today, Obscure Shape & SHDW are the founders of From Another Mind - the label and party series making waves in South-Germany. Aside from Rekids, where they remixed Radio Slave’s ‘Vision’ last year, the pair’s abilities in the studio have seen them invited by Slam for two separate remixes of Monoloc and Envoy on Soma, with more projects to be announced.

‘Himmel Und Erde’ is a cavernous cut boasting colossal kicks and skipping percussion before a tantalising melody comes into play. ‘Am Ende Der Welt’ is more deep and atmospheric in comparison, blending dusky percussion with echoing synths until ‘Gefallene Engel’ demonstrates syncopated drums and an otherworldly hook that conjure up a mesmerising aesthetic to conclude the release.

Whether treading into electronica with the album's existential bookends; "Interiors" and "Last Transmission", or flexing big-room techno muscles on "The Day the Earth Stood Still" & "Rigel", there is an indelible fingerprint throughout the 11 tracks that merits continuous listens to reveal its multi-layer depth. Filled with cinematic and cosmological references throughout, what makes "Friends, Lovers, & Other Constellations" truly unique is that it is not merely music for a clubbing experience, but something more, something akin to a musical mission statement; To prove that there is more to dance music than just a 4/4 beat, cliche drug references, and party themed vocals. From Casey Gerald's stirring sermon on "G.O.D. (Gospel of Doubt)", to the searingly cynical "Corpse Reviver Number 1", this debut album is wholly visceral on a musical and thematic level.

Having established a firm reputation for creating standout productions since the release of the now iconic "Tarantula", Pleasurekraft's musical evolution has moved towards a much tougher, atmospheric blend of melodic techno in recent years, comprised of big room drums, soaring breaks, and smart, unpredictable vocals. Sweden's Grindvik and Argentina's Juan Pablo Pfirter found each other throughout their common love for electronic music and constant strive to evolve artistically.
Since Pfirter's first vinyl release on Grindvik's Stockholm LTD label in 2008 the two have kept a tight working relationship and shared countless of hours playing back to back DJ sets in some of the world's most famous clubs.
Pfirter and Grindvik's highly regarded 'El Fortin EP' was released on Leyla Records at the beginning of 2020 and now it's time for its long-awaited sequel, this time on Pfirter's own MindTrip label.
