THE STATION

“The Man stepped through the doorway, holding his breath as he passed through. A slender figure, in a robe almost identical to his own, stood on the far side of the room. 
He had been following the trail for months, driven by the promise of finding the supreme being who pulled the strings of fate, and thus decided destiny. Many believed he was searching for one that did not exist, but there the proof was, right in front of his eyes.
He let his breath escape, and the figure slowly turned to face him. 
“Who are you?”, The Man questioned. 

The figure’s face was tilted downward, the hood veiling any details in shadow, but The Man swore he could see the feint outlines of a grin.
There was a moment of piercing silence. The figure’s cloaked arms moved towards the hood, then paused for an instant, before pulling it off swiftly. 
The Man’s blood turned to ice, as his own face stared back at him. 
It couldn’t be…it was him! He was The System Architect!”
