WIDE AWAKE is an live electronic music trio featuring Niju, Ninze and Okaxy from Germany. Together, they produce unique slow house music, which they call `KetaPop´. Individually they released already on common labels like `Dantze´ or `Under Your Skin Records´ and with forming this project, they promise an even more detailled and experimental sound. Their live show , including analoque instruments and electronic setup, is creating an outstanding atmosphere, which will send the audience on a trip with them.

Für die Ewigwachgebliebenen zum Feierabendbier, für die Frühaufsteher als Seelenfutter zum Wochenbeginn: Montagssorbet mit Laut & Luise. Alles erlaubt, was gut tut und Gedanken kreisen lässt, nur der Name ist Programm: cremig, fluffig und ganz schön weich.

Ein neues Jahr beginnt, schon wieder von vorn, und Déjà-vu und je ne comprends pas reichen sich die Hand und winken den verwirrten Kreisläufern. Auch schon so, doch gerade jetzt, um so schöner und famöser, dass @WIDE-AWAKE-8 mal ganz weit wach zusammen am Flügel saßen: Neue Musik aus eigener Feder, ganz bezaubernd und ganz weit vorne, vertraut aber unbekannt.

»Mit Uns« dazu am Klavier durch den Himmel aus Kerosin. So könnte jedes Jahr beginnen.

We were slowly getting ready for our journey to the big circle you can see at night. Then, somewhere in the middle of nowhere we went into the sparkling rocket with all the friends and creatures we found. That was the beginning of an unbelievable adventure.

WIDE AWAKE - Bask

A body plain as canvas, blank as the first page of a book. No signs of marks and stains. Life projects pictures of summer nights on you when you had your head up high in velvet clouds and your feet down on green meadows. Days when you fell in love with everything you saw, everyone you met and every idea that came to your mind. Made plans only to throw them over the next second. Failed at making decisions. When you read books, remembered a long forgotten song, created art. Sometimes loved too much or loved too little. Nights when you were concerned and desperate. When you felt too much and not enough all at the same time - slowly causing cracks in your painted surface. You dreamed hours, days and months away, lost yourself here to find yourself back there. Circled around yourself and others, gained experiences that left marks on you. And your painted body of canvas starts to crumble, falling off yourself till there’s nothing left then a new blank page to fill with something new.

The Circl’s first release "Velvet Lane" is coming at the 1st of February! Beside Bask there will be 3 other chapters full of stories made of sounds rather than words on WIDE AWAKE’s new EP. And until then, see and listen to what has inspired this story for Bask.
