On it, multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Mercer mines some of the same classic rock terrain as fellow rock scholar/hooksmith Robert Pollard. More than trace amounts of The Replacements can be found here as well, but Mercer adds his own brand of cosmericana to the recipe and creates his own potent mixture.
