Filtered-down kick, grainy lushness of pads, obscure noise, incoherent acapella, and bass that only exist below the frequency band of smartphone and laptop speakers, all contribute to the fiery stillness that drape over each of the 4 tracks included. While the new EP continue to be pinned by the duo’s signature leniency for noise and precise execution of sound design, it sets itself apart from the previous releases by successfully retaining the frail scent of uncontained, improvised performance while remaining firmly within the scope of floorcentric dance music.

For our second round of WUB, we've dug deep into the vaults of two old friends from the west. Warning co-founder DJ Normal 4 and day one regular Bufiman, both beloved for their individual work but also legendary for their 2017 collaborative The 5 Elements EP on Aiwo Rec.

Now, two extensive recordings from the same period have been unearthed and finally brought to the light they deserve. While Begleitautomatik takes you on a wild ride through breakbeats, balearic and peak time acid fire, you'll get a deep trip on Das Untere Manual - their very own take on dub techno.

One year on since his last full length venture 5 on Mule Musiq, house music aristocracy Fred P announces the subsequent 6 LP to mark the second part of a soon-to-be trilogy under his FP-Oner alias. These eleven tracks demonstrate the many cosmic qualities of Fred's deeper shade of soul, orchestrated for club soundsystems as well as home speakers. A notable follow-up in the NYC native's prolific 20+ year career.

An LP highlight comes in the form of "Reap Love", built up of some of dance music's favourite sounds. Percussive energy is rife from the off, with dreamy panning chords from the synthesiser adding to the nostalgic utopia of clubland's heyday. The melodies' lazy, seducing progression taps into a more spiritual, meditative feel. A true encapsulation of a dance music era that comes directly from one of its torchbearers.

Celebrating its 20th release, this edition of LF RMX features appearances from two of the scene‘s cutting edge producers: Richie Hawtin under his guise of Plastikman alongside Carl Craig‘s Tres Demented-alias. 

While Hawtin‘s original might seem a minimalistic bleeping experiment to some, Len Faki‘s edit has plenty of groove to it. Equipped with substantial low-end frequency and a solid kick, the track slowly develops an ambiance that's spooky, tribal and mesmerizing.

The flip carries an equally strong rework, its grand acid riff and standout-vocals holding center stage, with newly added percussion driving the momentum that turn this one into a peak-time hitter in true crazed-out Tres Demented-style.
