Dr. Maha Hosain Aziz is a professor, author, and cartoonist in the MA International Relations Program at New York University’s Graduate School of Arts & Sciences specializing in global risk and prediction, which she also teaches at e-learning startups; she is a visiting fellow at the London School of Economics’ Institute of Global Affairs. Her award-winning first book, Future World Order (2019), on global risk, has been called a “must-read” (Dr. Ian Bremmer, Kishore Mahbubani) written by a “global thinker to watch” (Dr. Nouriel Roubini) and an “engaged scholar-activist” (Dr. Parag Khanna). She is also working on the adaptation of her five-time award-winning debut political comic book, The Global Kid (2016), for adults. She is a former Businessweek columnist and Huffington Post blogger who now contributes to Medium and Thrive Global, among others. And on occasion, she still consults on political risk with governments and corporates via Wikistrat, the world’s first geopolitical crowdsourced consultancy, and other networks.

She earned a Bachelor’s at Brown University, a Master’s at Columbia University, a Master’s and Ph.D. at the LSE, and a research certification in Leveraging Crowds in the Public Sector at the NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering.
