A few excerpts from my score to Star Wars: Vader Immortal (ILMxLAB), for Oculus VR!

This score was a unique challenge in that it needed to sound unmistakably Star Wars, and featured extremely well-known characters and locations, but I wasn't allowed to use any of Williams' original themes. So I had to come up with new melodies for the empire, for the concept of "The Force", and for the new Corvaxian civilization.

"The Skiff Ride" features the score's first full presentation of the Corvaxian theme, as players descend into the excavation site of the Corvaxian ruins. It is recapitulated in "The Vision", which plays during a surreal sequence where the Priestess tells the tragic story of Corvax and the end of their once-flourishing civilization on Mustafar. In "Corvaxian Droids Awaken", the theme is recapitulated within the action context, as ancient guard droids attack the player, Vader, and Vader's minions. Finally, the "End Credits" theme features the new Force theme, culminating into a reference to the new Imperial theme on brass, and ending with a final hint of the Corvaxian theme on harp.

I'm a composer who works on games and linear media, most recently scoring Star Wars: Outlaws, Helldivers 2, Pacific Drive, Mortal Kombat 1 & 11, Call of Duty: WWII, Star Wars: Vader Immortal, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, and several others.

I'm also making my Japanese anime score debut with the upcoming Netflix miniseries, Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance.
