Bright Smiles

Banging drums, roaring guitars and vocals that will cut through bone. Combined with a hunger for energy and a wide grin these form the ingredients for the Utrecht-based punkrockband Wildebeast.

Jorn Voshol (bass/vocals) and Jan Willem Paasse (guitar/vocals) found each other in a different band through their shared love for loud music. Inspired by bands as John Coffey, Every Time I Die and Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes they decided late 2014 that the Netherlands needed more noise. Old school-friend Mark Mulders (vocals) was contacted to jam sometime, which resulted in the first ideas to start a band. Brother Wouter Mulders (drums) and friend Koen Oosterbroek (guitars) were pulled out of respectively Maasbommel and Amsterdam to eventually lay the foundation of Wildebeast.

After a succesful crowdfunding campaign the band headed into the Mailmen recording studio with producer Martin Beusker in October 2017. The five tracks that were recorded form the debut EP 'Ignite' that will be released in 2018. First single 'Bright Smiles' is out now and is backed by a video recorded at self-organised festival Beastfest.
