Limbo Land

To describe how I’m feeling today and for the past several months actually. This Last year was about doing what makes ME happy. I began finding myself and doing things I never thought possible. I fell in love with an incredible girl who has been by myside through it all. It might not be the easiest journey. I can accept that, that we have to enjoy the process and our HOPE will be enough.. 
Well God had a different plan for me. One I’m still trying to accept every day. In the beginning of June 2017 we discovered we were pregnant. Amongst the shock we had tears of joy. I couldn’t imagine anyone I’d rather raise a child with. We are happy and have so many goals in mind in order to prepare but sometimes you can’t control when the whole world changes. Over the moon. Our due date would have been today, Feb 1st 2018! We have went weeks without telling hardly anyone but I have created a song just to tell my best friend, a secret so precious we couldn’t wait to share with those whom we love. Father’s day was when we began telling family and close friends. That night I rushed to the ER for bleeding (ill spare details). With continual crying for hours just waiting, we finally had an ultrasound. Staring at each other not even knowing what to think, the nurse said, “and there’s the heartbeat” we both looked in shock as more tears came rolling. We see clear as day our baby was just fine. An even stronger heartbeat than the week prior from our OB apt. I was finally released to go home and get plenty of rest. No real explanation of what happened but that was ok, our baby was good and that’s what mattered at the moment. Well, throughout 5 days the bleeding slowed down but then started picking up more. Went back to see the OB and they confirmed we had a miscarriage. 
This of course was devastating. We’ve been working really hard to accept the things we cannot change. We will not let this break who we are. We have done many things along the way to remember our precious angel, and I’m finally ready to share them on this special day. It may not be what I imagined but I wouldn’t change my life for anything. This has made us aware of the struggle a lot of women go through but never talk about. We will always be questioning what happened as time goes by, but we can’t blame ourselves, and that’s the toughest lesson yet.
I appreciate those of you who have been there for us along the way, and who have taken the time to read this; it certainly was not easy to share. I’m just requesting prayers as we continue to heal from this and move forward.
