Lost Records have drafted in Hector Couto to helm the label’s sophomore release. Straight off the bat Hector kicks off the EP with the title track “I Believe”, a hypnotic and infectious number armed to the teeth with precise hi-hats and brooding basslines. “I Believe” cements Hector Couto’s production to an ever evolving sound while setting the stage perfectly for the follow up track “Knight Riders”.

Built on similar foundations to “I Believe”, “Knight Riders” introduces a rich soundscape, playingdeep and shadowy attributes against a field of succinct vocals and lead synth lines. Closing the EP we have remix heavyweights Waifs & Strays, 2013 being a blistering year for the production duo so far, seeing them feature on a plethora of releases. The remix ticks the boxes on what is becoming a key set of signature attributes that make up the duo’s sound, welding key features of the original and pinning them into a heavier groove whilst playing off atmospheric build ups and break downs.

CHROM goes ADE2025 with a VA-Sampler ànd a 2-day label showcase!

Another edition of the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is just around the corner, and this year marks its 30th anniversary. As always, Chrom Recordings is ready to celebrate in style with their annual ADE Sampler and a 2-day label showcase happening on Friday and Saturday.

Our ADE Chrom Sampler features 10 carefully curated tracks, reflecting the diverse sounds of Progressive House, Indie Dance, and Melodic House & Techno. The Compilation opens with 2 recent Chrom anthems: "Horizon", taken from the "#100"-album by our own label manager Pedro Mercado alongside Karada, followed by our latest single "Missing, the iconic 90's classic from Everything But The Girl covered by Yves Eaux feat. Gregory Douglass.

The remaining 8 tracks are brand-new and exclusive to this release. Half of them are contributions from trusted Chrom regulars: Fernando Lagreca, DJ Andy de Gage', Paul Sawyer and Daniel Vilchez. The other half is coming from artists who are new to our label: JP Lantieri from France, VUH from Mexico, GELIMA from Thailand and Juwlz from Belgium.

We hope you enjoy this year's selection! And if you'll be in Amsterdam this October for ADE, we'd love to see you at our Label Showcase on Friday the 24th and Saturday the 25th. Just like last years, we're teaming up with our good friends from Tanzgemeinschaft, with Strange Town Recordings from Canada joining us on Friday. Rowee (@roweemood) is the new project from the celebrated Italian DJ and producer Leonardo Gonnelli (@leonardogonnelli), here dropping four fresh tracks on Steve Bug's Audiomatique label. The Egypt EP sets out its game plan early with the title track - a heads down tech-house slayer that is both deep and driving, and the perfect home for the sublime vocals of Forrest. 

Kocleo’s (@kocleo) remix of Egypt is even deeper, pushing the vocals right into the front, and supplying a trippy, arpeggiated bass line for the track to hang off.

The EP also features a collaboration with fellow Italian (now based in the US) Simon Wish (@simon-wish), whose 'Art Revolution' is a deep bomb containing a spoken word vocal with a message.

'Clock' is the closing track here, and again proves the prowess of Rowee at the mixing desk - the track is a tightly constructed groover - packed full of energy and the perfect track to drop on a tiring dancefloor.
