The cuban poet Severo Sarduy once said, “Baroque is subversion, overflow, exhuberance”. The sound rupture, the harshness of sampled sounds from a TR-808, the darkness in the construction concept, derives in the occultism, only recognized by the marginal ones.

Thinking and creating club music not only with the classic 4x4 beat but syncopated rythms that can modulate bodies and minds, the chilean producer Imaabs brings his second release, the four tracks “Baroque EP” for Diamante Records, one of the most interesting electronic labels in South America, based in Santiago de Chile.

It’s hyperthelic construction tries to break the homogenous, constant and predictible patterns of club music, with powerful remixes from artists like Atlanta’s genious Distal, and the prince of ballroom and vogue house the New Jersey’s Mike Q, contributes to it, joining the dots between the underground scenes of three cities, a bridge constructed only by music.
