Introducing the EP "VOID".
It is a collection of five tracks in which I wanted to focus on emotions, textures, and space.
These tracks are created in a hybrid workflow. I used both physical instruments, synthesizers, and samplers, as well as their computer simulations.
"VOID" is my beginning and the essence of a style that I have tried to reach over several years of conscious work with music.

You might have first heard of Earth Trax under his original alias, The Phantom. Or maybe his given name, Bartosz Kruczyński, which he uses for gorgeous ambient music. Or Pejzaż, where he cuts up Polish records from his vast collection. Or as part of Ptaki, another sample-based project he did with fellow Warsaw resident Jaromir Kamiński. You get the idea—dude makes a lot of music. And a lot of it is very good. Earth Trax is the project that really made us swoon, with a soft-focus, sunset-hued meld of techno, breakbeat, progressive house and trance.

On wonderful records like LP1, melancholy is the operative word, but Kruczyński isn't exactly a sadsack. It's more complex than that, nailing the tears-on-the-dance-floor vibe with the part that many people forget: it's still club music. That's why tracks like "Dream Pop," which kicks off this mix, are so successful—they're heavy but never weighed down by emotion, with a skip in their step and a robust low-end to go with the sighing vocals. 

Kruczyński's RA Podcast is something of an excavation of this sound, using his own tracks and those of like-minded producers to sketch out a style that's equal parts rousing and pensive, midtempo but still propulsive. Over two and a half hours he lets these tracks breathe and leisurely mixes them together, almost like an old-school progressive house double mix CD but in the more vibrant, varied clothes of today—before it starts to unravel into an extended, beatless outro that's worth sticking all the way until the end for.

Guillaume Blanjean, better known by his stage name Atlas Castle, is a French producer and label owner based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Long sleepless nights and a certain vision of aesthetics brought this project to life with the idea to create a musical base throughout which he could play whatever he would feel like, without any boundaries, mixing electronic energy, melodies and samples to forge his own sound.
Seduced by the #DAWless community back in 2020, he decided to step away from the computer and embrace the hardware path with his first electronic devices. Atlas Castle brings you here on a new musical journey, mixing cinematic, raw, minimalistic and electronic music. Coming back to basics through direct live performances.
When not active behind his machines, he happily runs his own independent music label & collective: Petite Victory Collective. His label is keenly placed to explore the intersection of music and art through interdisciplinary creative collaborations that blur lines between ecology, sustainability and hardwares.
Writing music has recently presented itself as a challenge, with a notable absence of inspiration. However, whether inspired or not, my creative process remains constant. It is a necessity for me, as it serves as a means to express myself. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Golden Forest Record for graciously welcoming my new EP: ‘FVRS' into their catalog.
The collection of live sessions does not adhere to a specific conceptual framework. Instead, it primarily represents my experimentation with samples, serving as a medium through which I can share my current mood and vibe. It showcases a unique fusion of ambient, techno, experimentation, imperfection, and minimalism, all of which underline my dedication to capturing the unfiltered essence of my musical journey.
I sincerely hope that you will find pieces to hold on to while listening to this musical experiment. Each track has been performed live on the Elektron Digitakt, ensuring a raw, authentic and under-produced experience. From "normal" to hard to brutal to utterly broken, "Harsh Blast Beats" contains an extreme bandwidth of the Twisted Electron "Blast Beats" FM drum sounds and noises.

This pack is based on sample chains*, each of them highlighting a specific sound range and work through parameters in a musical way.

For the full glitch experience, they also capture the peculiarities of the sound chip where instruments influence each other, thus constantly morphing their shape (recorded using the individual outputs).

This pack is based on 1096 (!) samples: Kick (including bass sounds and noises), Snares, Toms, Hihats/Cymbals using the Drum voices as well as Claves, Rimshots, Bells, Cowbells and a collection of Squealy and Scratchy sounds using the Synth voices.

The samples are prepared in in four ways:
- All 1096 samples as 117 sample chains.
- Out of the 1096, a selection of 357 single samples for basic usage
- For both: All kicks, toms and snares again but with multiband overdrive added for extra harshness.

This Sample Pack is a digital item. It contains:
- WAV files at Mono, 44.1 kHz, 24 Bit (for e.g. Octatrack)
- WAV files at Mono, 48 kHz, 24 Bit (for e.g. Digitakt and Analog Rytm*)
- One Digitakt file with four patterns

*Chains with alternate lengths (15 instead of 16 slices/chain links) for Analog Rytm are provided.

Suitable for Gabber, Rhythmic Industrial, Glitch, Hard Techno, IDM, Rhythmic Noise, deranged Chiptunes, ...

The Sound Demos were created using only samples from the Pack. They were done on the Digitakt, and the Patterns are included in the Download.

Wilk Kick is a sound artist from Gdansk, Poland. He currently lives in Copenhagen. Wilk Kick's musical journey started when he played local post punk bands as a bass player. His constant search of unique and original sounds naturally lead the discovery of effect pedals, electronic instruments and DAW. Simoultaneously, he discovered the underground electronic scene and started to experiment with drum n' bass, minimal, trip hop, dubstep and techno. After some time DJ'ing, his first LP was released.

Throughout these years, Wilk Kick formed bands as Teufelsberg (electro-acoustic duet with synthesisers, zither and cello). And Krankenschwester (synthesiser and drums) and played as a solo artist under the alias \\'. 

He released a field recording album and composed music for contemporary dance theatres.

After moving from Poland to Denmark, he re-discovered his passion for 4x4 music, which he had been fascinated by since an early age. Inspired by his early influences and his experiences from the last, he recorded Mörk Skog EP, released by the Copenhagen-based label and community Petite Victory Collective.
