My Friend Dario continues to expand his wondrous musical world with a new collection of characterful cuts that show his broad stylistic range. These are all designed for cultured dance floors as the artist works towards his much-anticipated debut album. 

'Sambatismo' kicks off with nu Balearic breaks that bristle with energy and are peppered with steamy jungle drums. After the spine tingling breakdown a sultry sax comes in to bring the sex next off-balance chords while 'Nature In A Different Planet' takes you to a new sort of tropical world far off in the cosmos, where deep synths, mystic pads and rave-y whistles all bring a new kind of experience. 'Easy Sunday' is loose and elastic mid-tempo house with star-gazing synth craft and pixelated leads that leave you in awe, then 'Carmico' is a killer chugger with sleazy guitar riffs and heavy drum loops taking you on a trip. 

Food for Woofers Volume 1 is another innovative outing for this new school Balearic tastemaker.

My Friend Dario - Carmico

Moreik is a Spanish DJ who began his work as a professional DJ in 1995 under the alias of Dj Loop or Luppo. His first influences go back to the early and mid-eighties thanks to clubs in Madrid (his hometown) such as Bagoas, Baile el baile or Estación Berlín, where he discovered the avant-garde styles of the moment such as synthpop, Italo disco, new wave, cool and dark wave, gothic rock and afterpunk.

It is at the end of this decade when he comes into contact with the recently appeared and emerging purely electronic dance music and shortly after his professional career begins.

In his career, he has gone through a wide variety of musical styles such as EBM, New Beat, Eurobeat, Rave, Dark Wave, Trance, Techno, House, Deep House, Tech-house, predominantly in his sets acid rhythms and synt/ strong bass not exempt from melodies

After a period of "stand by" for personal reasons where he followed the musical news from the front line, he resumed his way of creating sound atmospheres.

Currently his main hallmark is a somewhat eclectic selection, influenced and loaded with styles as diverse as dark disco, minimal wave, cold wave, new beat, dark wave, electronic, EBM.

Celebrated techno duo ORKA release their much anticipated sixth studio album All AtOnce available on vinyl and digital via Kervið on 29th September.
Francine Perry from London and Jens L. Thomsen from the Faroe Islands aka ORKA’s long awaited sixth studio All At Once is an immersive opus that embodies the duo’s distinctive blend of earthy tones and a bold, adventurous spirit. Over ten tracks we are taken to a uniquely ORKA realm bursting with neon-lit hues, pulsating club beats, and an abundance of sensory stimulation that embraces themes of duality, connection and their combined story as artists and performers.
ORKA say: 
"We started playing music together nine years ago and played together live for a few years before we decided to start writing together. One of the core questions we have tried to answer from the beginning of our work relationship is “How do you perform electronic music?” We have from the start reflected on this question and over the years developed a way of arranging and playing electronic music that feels significant and meaningful to us. When we play live we play out everything that the audience hears on the spot which makes our shows quite intense. There is a lot at stake during our sets and we are extremely dependent on each other. If we mess up, you will notice. 
When we started writing together this dependency affected our writing. We were both doing everything at the same time and had our hands in the other’s ideas and parts. We’re pretty sure that there isn’t a single sound on the album that we both didn’t touch or change at some point. We wrote the album over the course of four years which proved also to be momentous years globally; not only because of the pandemic but also because of local and international political conflicts and human rights struggles. And the album is about this, about all of the issues that affected us and how we dealt with living through these times. But most of all it’s about how we rely so much on each other that we work as one, as one entity. This is captured perfectly in the album artwork by Kirstin Helgadóttir. We took photos of our faces and Kirstin merged them into one fluid being which is both of us and neither of us at the same time. Our combined face somehow catches the full gender spectrum as well as the full colour spectrum and describes the maximalist, amalgamated milieu in which we created our new record aptly named All At Once."

HRDF: Who are you?
MRN: My name is Gal Goldman aka Mr Right Now, 21 years old producer from Tel Aviv / Paris, started my way as a selector dj in Tel Aviv a few years ago and I’m really inspired by Italo disco , French electronic music and alternative music from the 80s.

HRDF: How did you discover this track?
MRN: I discovered Rupa with a recommendation of my girlfriend maya in a vinyl store in paris, in the moment I listened to her album I decided that my fusion will work well with her tracks so I contacted her and got her permission to put it out as a official release.

HRDF: Why do you choose to edit it?
MRN: I choose to edit this track because Rupa took out only 4 songs out in public and I loved the amazing touch of ethnic Hindi vibe with the disco in her tracks and she did it like no other.

HRDF: What are your upcoming plans?
MRN: My upcoming plans are moving back after a few months from Tel Aviv to Paris and to release an electronic original EP that mixes all of my various music taste in to one.
