Jaguar is a song that evokes and honors the qualities that that animal represents to me.⁣
⁣
I feel personally deeply connected to the energy of the Jaguar, and admire the qualities of grace, power, poise, and protectorship that it embodies.⁣
⁣
I also see the Jaguar as a messenger of the Mesoamerican cultures with which it has coexisted for centuries, reminding us of the nature based wisdom traditions of Central and South America, and the teachings they carry.⁣

I had an experience in the Amazon jungle almost 10 years ago in which the spirit of the Jaguar showed me what its medicine was. It showed me that it was the medicine of clear, grounded, unwavering, and impeccable boundaries. It was the willingness of a mother to protect her young at all costs with nothing but love in her heart.⁣
⁣
I did my best to translate this experience into a piece of music, and it’s an honor to be able to share that song with you all today.⁣
⁣
I pray that this track can serve as a reminder for folks to remain rooted in these qualities.⁣
⁣

It was so much fun to create this song with my dear friend and producer of the track Robbie Lenfestey - @amorphosmusic - with whom I have been creating multiple albums since April!⁣

I’m also super grateful to be able to use the incredible visual art of Katrina Kingfisher - @faunaflowart - for album art, which I feel fits with the energy of the song so beautifully.⁣
