I bought this 12" in 1986 on the wickedly named Weelchair Records. I've always enjoyed the track, in particular the "slash" at 2 mins and beyond, that totally transforms the track. Synth pop/new wave/high energy, call it what you like, it's a sneaky one that I always enjoy!
