I wrote Ship in a bottle over 10 years ago, and having played it in several different styles and formats, I couldn't find a place for it amongst my collection....Ironically the title would see the song go in different directions when finally after finding the style that I fitted in with, Ship in a bottle found its place where it should be. 

The song is a story relating to mental health, being trapped in one's self, isolation, feeling alone and afraid, but also to never give up hope as no matter where the tide takes you, there's always a destination.

This song was written as an instrumental piece for my first album...Hollow Cradle, the story behind the music is about being at sea on a high tide, wading through stormy waters before reaching port.

This song is written and dedicated to my baby daughter who is now 6. I recorded her heartbeat in the hospital and wrote a song especially for her first breath into the world.

I'm coming home is a symbolic meaning of being away from a time and place that you love and after a long time from a tumultuous journey making your way back home to where you belong.

I wrote this track for my first album "Hollow Cradle".

Pride is the first proper Scottish song that I had written back in 2017. Inspired by being proud of yourself, your country of origin and regardless of where you are, there is a sense of Pride in all of us that allows us to fight passionately for things and people that we love. 

Prides original timescale is 6 minutes and 30 seconds including big intros and bagpipe finishes. I was told over time that it was way too long to be considered for easy listening.
This version is made from the ground up as from the 23/01/23, and is now half the time it was meant to be and not taking away any of the impact of the songs groove.

Its  a song that means so much to me as my late dad and I had the opportunity to perform this live as part of our acoustic father/son duo : TeeNTee and continues to be a staple in my set list of songs and always will be.

Crack of Dawn is one of my newest songs written for my up and coming Sea shanty themed album, A Shanty Lè Soul.

This song reflects on fishermen and women spent at sea, from all hours, returning home to have a good party and back out at sea at the Crack of Dawn.

The story of this song is about a crew of fishermen that braved torrential weather to feed their family, unfortunately only the captain and the first mate return...

however the underlying meaning behind this song is a tribute to my late dad who passed with stage 3 Cancer, and is a tribute and dedication to those who have suffered, lost and survived the awful disease.

I've been a part of music at a very young age, growing up with the 60's to the 80's era being inspired by the likes of The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Queen and all the other mainstream favourites.

I am a family man that's been a musician for 23 years now. I've been a part of 3 bands, currently still rythmn guitarist for a band called Artesan (also on SoundCloud) and do solo work, writing and performing Scottish themed music. i perform at local pub gigs and do weddings or receptions If asked. I also have a dedicated YouTube channel for all of my covers and original songs for showcase purposes and I have my own website that is still In early stages and a Twitter account to let people know what I'm currently doing.
