On his new digital label, 1981 born writer and musician Benedikt Schmidt publishes his own audio plays, poetry books and experimental music – as well as art prints by artist friends.

"Neues Licht an unbestimmtem Morgen" marks the beginning of a series of Cellarkalt releases on the new label "Jetztwelt“.

Cellarkalt, that‘s the oldest project of Benedikt Schmidt. The strange journey once started in the late 90s in the basement of his parent’s house, with creating weird sounds and recording experimental tracks and sketches directly on cassette tape.

The choice of instruments and toys may have changed over the years, but the Cellarkalt approach remains the same: Cellarkalt is DADA and DIY. It‘s poetic and imperfect, weird and raw, sometimes even psychedelic. Cellarkalt speaks through the noise of the machines.
