Shun is a Tokyo-based DJ/Producer. 
His Electro style is influenced by Detroit Techno, Italo-disco, EBM, and Acid House, and he released three EPs in 2021.
In April 2022, the Door EP was released on CPU Records, and has been played by Dave Clarke, Djedjotronic, Andy Burton (Bass Agenda), etc. It was also selected as one of the Top 10 Electro Charts on Clone.nl.

' Born and raised in Minsk, in 1999 they presented the cassette "The Prodigy - The Fat Of The Land" and since then I can not imagine my life without electronic music, I listen and love many styles and eras in music, but I am filled with great love for sound breakbeat and electro. I also really like the acid sound. In mixes and in choosing tracks, I primarily rely on the emotions that they evoke in me, I really like energetic, powerful and dense sounds, every minor sound and sample can turn an inconspicuous melody into a chic track. Which artists influenced you the most? 
 
- Countless artists, I remember myself at age 5 jumping on my bed, singing “we are the robots”, so definitely Kraftwerk. As a teenager I grew up in the early nineties, had a big crush on the Prodigy, Altern 8, and all the BreakBeat\Rave scene that came from England back then. 
I decided to start DJing after listening to some legendary DJs like Dave Clarck, Ben Sims, Jeff Mills, DJ Bone, and my dear friend Ori Lichtick. They all have different styles, and techniques, but one thing in common is that they all create new music on the fly while they mix, not just playing the tracks one after another. 
 
What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future? 
 
- Most important for me these days is to play in parties, there is nothing like people vibe in a good party. Lately been working on my DJ mix series, I try to publish a new mix every month. 
There is also Avaq, which is a very special project that consists of a drummer, and a guitarist that play in a very unique style, the music they produce is passed directly through a mixer controlled by me, and I color it with effects, and loops, all three of us got a lot of influence from the clubs/rave scene, from Techno, Electronic music, and post punk. 
Avaq music is dance flour oriented, wild, intense, with a consistent rolling beat. 
We released a new single last week

And for the next year we plan to continue performing as much as we can in Clubs/Parties, and Festivals. 
 
Which artists/labels are more relevant to you now? 
 
- In the past years I fell in love with Electro music, discovered a whole lot of awesome new producers, labels, and stellar sounds. In a nutshell, really like The Exaltics, Carl Finlow, Luxus Varta, Krypton 81, Maelstrom, Zeta Reticula, DJ Stingray, DMX Krew, of course Drexcya, and Dopplereffekt, AUX88, and many, many others. 
Labels: Cultivated Electronics, CPU, Bass Agenda, Klakson, Mechatronica, and many others. 
Also a big fan of the “Dark Science Electro” podcast, I like to listen to it while I drive at night. 
 
What inspires you to create music now? 
 
- In the past 4 years I had two incidents that shook my entire world. 
Lost my significant other (my love) after 17 years together, then got sick with Leukemia, which nearly made me meet my ancestors. 
That's when I truly discovered the healing power of music, it also keeps my sanity, so for me music is life. 
There is also the element of leaving something behind after we go, because life is fragile.

Mix #029 in our series comes from long-time label friend, AISHA.

The Glasgow based DJ and producer has been killing it in recent years and has earned the reputation as one of the most exciting up and coming artists in the Scottish-scene.  The Lunacy resident has been releasing tracks on Soma Records,  Huntleys and Palmers and also featured on our very own Angel series earlier in the year with her track 'Straight Edge'.
