participation mystique

released in november of 2011, crisis of faith is my first full-length album of songs. i had released a few albums of instrumental music, but this was my first attempt at creating a collection of songs that flow together, featuring my voice. this was the culmination of a year's worth of work in exploring the rhythms and textures found within. i hope you enjoy it.

created using supercollider to synthesize a version of the javanese gamelan piece "srepegan" which was then slowed down drastically using granular synthesis. (2009)
