Parallel Night opens the EP with live brass instruments and a dreamy soundscape for an epic build into a heavy bass drop that blends flawlessly with the live instrumentation.  A perfect glimpse into the two sounds these two are blending for this release and leaving the listener wanting more.  Merely Players leans more on the bass side of their sound, with captivating vocals and a catchy beat perfect to flow to.  It still brings in their live instrumentation but is no longer the focus of the track, slowly building more and more instruments in as the song progresses.  Getting Busy starts with a hip-hop style build with live flute and male vocals building into a heavy glitch-hop drop with perfect horn sections over the bass wubs and growls.  Spinnin Up closes the EP with an epic track with heavier growls and bass while still keeping the live instrumentation throughout.  This release is very cohesive and all the tracks blend these styles flawlessly in a fresh new way.

'Like a Child' is one of the most exquisite tracks we’ve heard in recent memory and we could not deny sharing it with you. A stand alone could just not do here. This perfect compliment to an otherwise singularly deep lament, what will be a second single on Genesis EP, but this glimmers a bit more brightly, while still telling an impactful and deep story of connection and childhood amidst the struggle of how not to miss out on those experiences.

This tune seamlessly wraps up the whole package and release as the vocals remind us of a mix of some nostalgic 2010s throwback or something, and we just felt it was too perfect, especially mixed with the signature, sultry Sully sax and the key vocals. We know you will love it too. This is something different, something you need to hear. Livetronica and electro hip hop soul at it’s finest.  
 
@Boydex  attempts at something new here were not missed. He tried something out- of-the-ordinary (a little darker and mor downtempo than usual) and although this beautifully bound package is something different, none the matter, it is hands down one of, if not definitely Boydex's most complete works to date.

This one nearly joined that list. Well it didn't, really. 

But with the greenlight from the man himself, we’re proud to finally share a rare and unreleased VIP version of “Bodega Boys”, a track originally found on Tripp St.’s 2024 breakout album Liberosis via OdyZey Music (CloZee’s label). Featuring the razor-sharp delivery of Sir Bishop and now drenched in bass, and boom bap swagger, this Willdabeast flip drags the original through our horn-drenched, glitch-happy, genreless playground.

We added mindful spoken word from the legendary Wayne Dyer on the intro and outro, something to anchor the chaos in wisdom and mindfullness. A breath between the basslines. A reminder that even in the storm, there’s still clarity if you listen close.

The original “Bodega Boys” was a standout on Liberosis — Bishop’s Biggie-like baritone rides a classic rhythm before Tripp St. yanks the floor out with wobbly, wonky heat. But this version? It’s dirtier. Grittier. Hornier (literally and metaphorically). It hits harder, and maybe hits home a little deeper too. Did we mention it's available for a free download?

Engineers coined the term “unobtainium” to describe a material with impossible, ideal qualities, something that defies existence yet feels essential. With this track, Willdabeast and Viskus
channel that concept into sound: an otherworldly blend of deep bass, dubstep, drum & bass, jazz, dub, and fusion that feels all-at-once unachievable and undeniable.

“The track evolved out of thin air,” says Nick Krauskoff, aka Viskus. “After sending Will a skeletal idea, we reshaped it through weeks of back-and-forth until it became something neither of us could have created alone.”
From brass fanfares and woodwinds to massive synths and precision basslines, Unobtainium is the culmination of months of thorough layering, mixing, and reworking. The result: a symphonic deep bass journey that departs from both artists’ usual styles while still pulling listeners fully into
their shared universe.


Willdabeast (Will Glazier & Dan de Lisle) set along the U.S/Canada border in WA, are known for their explosive brass-driven electronic performances, weaving live trumpet, trombone, and flute into heavy-hitting bass music. With past releases on Gravitas Recordings, Westwood Recordings, Super Best Records and Muti Music, plus collaborations alongside Pretty Lights’ Michal Menert, GRiZ, Defunk, and Late Night Radio (just to name a few), they’ve carved out a reputation as pioneers of live/electronic fusion.

Viskus, based in Oklahoma City, is a rising force in bass music. With releases on Circus Records, Wakaan, Morflo, Drama Club Recordings, Aspire Higher, and Spicy Bois Collective (just to name a few), his catalog spans collaborations with Xenotype, TYNAN, Ravenscoon, Superfuture, Mousai, and more. Adding Unobtainium to the “Viskography” marks his first release on Grand Alliance Music, a milestone moment for both artist and label.


In 2025, the duo first crossed paths creatively on Fondue Forest, a playful yet immersive cut that showcased their chemistry. With Unobtainium, they’ve raised the stakes, leaning deeper into symphonic brass and heavyweight bass to craft a track that feels both impossible and inevitable. If Fondue Forest was the appetizer, Unobtainium is the full-course experience. SwAy x Willdabeast - Crossing Borders EP (Superbest Records, 2016) “Crossing Borders”is a collaborative EP from two up-and-coming producer duos. It features Willdabeast (WA), who doubles as the horn section for Michal Menert & The Pretty Fantastics, as well as SwAy (BC), one of Canada’s best Electrosoul acts. The album tells the story ofrelationship tribulations, and triumphs.  It beings with the track “Cuz I Need You Baby”, a declaration from one to another. This is the moment in a relationship when you express mutual and returned feelings of desire and passion, realizing your codependence. We’re then taken totrack 2,“OnMy Mind”, representing part of a relationship that everyone has felt. Maybe one person is traveling or often away then appears in every song, picture or place we see. In the ups-and-downs of close relationships, a time when the other person is not around is when they're constantly onour mind. Some would say this is a true indication of love. Finally, the album ends with the song “Peace Offering”. Perhaps this person was onour mind was because a fight happened. This peace offering represents making amends and giving the situation your all. This is about getting down to brass tacks, fighting for what you believe in, and never giving up.”

Starting out as a drummer, Colorado producer Paul Brandt aka Paul Basic joined a band with Derek Vincent Smith (Pretty Lights) and Michal Menert in high school before they each moved on to pursue solo production work. In fall 2011 Paul released his debut EP 'The Mirror' on Pretty Lights Music which features a gritty, nostalgic sound blending dusty samples, grainy synths, biting bass and thick drums - a combination that earned him an integral place within the PLM movement.

Willdabeast is a brass-fueled electronic duo that merges live horns with heavy bass, jazz, funk, and experimental sound design. Known for their high-energy performances and genre-bending productions, Willdabeast has carved out a distinct lane in the electronic music landscape, pairing festival-ready drops with the improvisational spirit of live instrumentation.

The project has released music across an eclectic range of labels, performed on national stages, and collaborated with a wide spectrum of artists across the electronic and hip-hop spectrum. In 2025, Willdabeast was featured on Apple TV’s series The Studio with Seth Rogen.
