Space Bee

Words and Man Voice: Heathcote Williams. Music: Kate Garret, John Blanchard and Will Gibson.

John and Kate started the recording on this, but then John was busy with other things so Will and Kate popped round, grabbed the bones of the intro and finished the recording at Coombe End with Heathcote popping round for lunch and things, oh, and to record his words.

Musically, I can't remember exactly who did what, I remember hitting a barbecue with a hammer to make percussive sounds, and Kate's Orange amp literally limping to the end of the guitar take then totally packing in. There were interesting press clippings in the post for some time afterwards too.
