A Little Duet we recorded in the living room to celebrate the return of the wolf to Germany in the late 90s. The intro is probably the first recording of a free roaming wolf ( she is searching for a husband ) in Germany ever,  given to me by one of the biologists researching the comeback of the animal.

hello friends, yes, and now about me...........I started my musical journey as a second flugelhorn player in the " kolping wind band " of harsewinkel, a small town in germany. a few years later I played in the school jazzband and took lessons with the principal trumpet of the bielefeld philharmonic orchestra hans - joachim knoke. from 1982 to 1988 I studied classical trumpet at the " hochschule für musik " in detmold with professor rudolph lodenkemper, professor wolfgang pohle and professor max sommerhalder. I was also attending masterclasses in jazz with peter herbolzheimer, bobby lamb and ack van rooyen, to name a few. being interested in all kinds of music I also took baroque trumpet lessons with friedemann immer and susan williams. I currently work as a trumpet and ensemble teacher at the music school in löhne and as freelancer. I played with the jörg - achim keller big band,the russ spiegel big bang,the oliver groenewald newnet, the salsaband tropicaina, with my big band and quartet and with musicans like dusko goykovich, al jacobson, david theak, fritz krisse, norbert gottschalk, colin speight, kurt studenroth and many more. I also did lots of shows like westside story, sweet charity and cabaret, starting " woyzeck " with music written by tom waits in june 2010.In 2011 I will be the musical director of BRASSED OFF, a play at the Theatre in Bielefeld. I play baroque trumpet with the detmold baroque ensemble, with organ and with a trio: organ, baroque trumpet and soprano, classical trumpet and cornet with the brass quartet " brass unlimited " ( yes, we made a cd a few years ago ) and work currently on a cd with cornet music of all kinds. I also perform with the " shawn grocott improvising ensemble ", music from free jazz to beatles songs with mike turnbull and the " lounge room lizards " and worked for the community dance project " residance " with tamara mcLorg and christopher benstead. over the years I had the pleasure to play with lots of colleagues and friends at a lot of interesting places, from thousands of churches to the parliament in canberra or the townhall in bangalore, I have been playing in new zealand, france, england, belgium, india and australia. so, what remains to tell ? oh yeah, I still love my job, still want to tell a story whenever I play and to apologize for my english.
