1 Drone, 15 Wind Instruments

A mixture of quiet bells sounds, pads and wordless male vocal sung by William Arnold.

Lament For Mira (Emotional Male Vocal)

This is an experiment with various vocal textures inspired by the sounds of Africa (all performed by me). This track also features me playing a high Eb whistle.

The Meeting Place (Male Vocals & Tin Whistle)

This track features William Arnold playing Native American style flute.

Calm In The Storm (Native American Style Flute)

This is part of a traditional Chinese folk song called "Water Girl." It originates from the Dai people group. The featured instruments are bawu and dizi, which were played by William Arnold. All other instruments are sampled.

The bawu is a free reed instrument that looks like a flute, but the player actually blows into the mouthpiece. The dizi is a transverse flute with an extra whole covered by a thin membrane, giving it a "buzzy" timbre.

Chinese Water Girl (Bawu & Dizi)

I read about the petition to stop Phil Collins' comeback tour and decided I'd like to record one of his songs. I'm a fan of his, and although this petition was originally meant as a joke, I don't appreciate it or the way that hordes of people jumped on the bandwagon. Phil didn't actually write this song. It was written by Billy Nicholls and first released by Leo Sayer, who's recording went to #6 on the UK charts. The Phil Collins version was the lead single from his 2002 album, Testify.

Here's to you, Phil! I have great respect for you and wish you much success on your comeback tour!

Can't Stop Loving You (Pop Vocal)

Traditional Scottish folk song in a simple ambient/electronic setting. This track features me singing 8 part harmony and playing a Bb tin whistle.
