good track! i have volca modular as well, it just seems like a toy, but possibilities are vast. too bad it's communication with other modulars are limited, i spent weeks figuring out how to sync it with behringer neutron through keystep37, it kind of works, however i can't figure out how to start sequences simultaneously. anyway, i went off the topic here. volca modular was my gateway drug to modulars too, i resisted this part of equipment for two decades, modulars won and i'm happy with that :)

Tropical Rain Forest Sirens

"Pure Cotton Ghosts" is an experimental rock-jazz fusion that pays homage to outsider music. With its off-kilter rhythms and raw, lo-fi atmosphere, the track has a spontaneous and unconventional sound that evokes the creative spirit of outsider artists. Though devoid of formal musical training, these musical outsiders produce compositions that are unfiltered and idiosyncratic. "Pure Cotton Ghosts" channels this aesthetic with its jagged time signatures and dissonant melodies. The lead guitar wails without restraint over off-beat drum grooves and wandering bass lines. This is music that embraces imperfection and thrives on instinct. Abstract yet emotionally resonant, "Pure Cotton Ghosts" celebrates the bold artistic vision of those who create on the fringes. Its avant-garde sensibility makes no compromises as it recklessly explores new sonic terrain.

In that city, a frequent guest, I've wandered wide and far,  
Yet strive as I might, its gates remain ajar.  
A map etched in memories, vivid, clear, and deep,  
In dreams, I turn its corners, in restless sleep.

I've changed my pillow, shifted the futon's fold,  
Yet the path to that city, in reality, remains untold.  
Surrendering to fate, I let my yearnings slip,  
Only to find, in sudden wake, I'm on that city's script.

There I stand, amidst its familiar scene,  
Realization dawns, in slumber's embrace, serene.  
In the quiet of awakening, truth whispers soft and light:  
It's in dreams alone, that city greets my sight.

The town in my dream

Thaws, abysses, migrations, oases, earthquakes, displacements, wetlands, forests. Geografía Mental (Mental Geography) is an abstract journey through new territories and unexplored spaces. Devastated natural paradises, urgent flora that takes advantage of climate change to expand, uninhabitable deserts where there was once a forest, currents
that are too hot that dismantle corals and attract new species.
Mental Geography was composed by Ismael Pinkler in a free and labyrinthine way. An extensive process that required pauses and taking distance to be able to observe these complex and absorbing soundscapes from above. The pace of the work and its completion were dictated by the material itself, which in just over half an hour leaves us with the feeling of having traveled thousands of kilometers from the air.

This Ambient album of electronic and complex sounds was produced in parallel to Nocturnos, an album of piano pieces that will be released in August of this year. Both releases dialogue and complement each other and are a presentation of some of the paths that Ismael Pinkler is currently traveling as an artist. One is electronic, the other
acoustic but they share the same sonorous and compositional depth and, in some way, both are possible forms of ambient music.
If the process of Mental Geography was a solitary and labyrinthine journey, that of Nocturnos was a learning process, organized and in the company of other musicians: Ulises Conti who encouraged him to start this project and Nicolas Bacal who performed and recorded the works for piano composed by Ismael. Geografía Mental will be released at the end of May by the Argentine label Metamúsica and Nocturnos at the beginning of August by the Mexican label Static Discos. In addition, the Scottish label Huntleys &amp; Palmers included one of the piano pieces in a double vinyl
compilation scheduled for the end of the year that brings together songs in “after hour” mode by other artists such as Oklo Gabon, Jackie House and Superpitcher.
