The legend strikes back! Dimitri from Paris was the first DJ to pioneer house music in France in the late 80ies and became world famous with his album "Sacrebleu" in 1996. He is one of the godfathers of the "french touch" and a cult figure with dance music connoisseurs. His "Philly" and Disco compilations on BBE, Defected and Salsoul are essential and "A Night At The Playboy Mansion" (Virgin) charted in Mixmag's top 100 of best compilations ever. He remixed Björk, the Cardigans, James Brown, New Order and Quincy Jones! Dimitri teamed up with Italian DJ Rocca and Italian Cult singer Fred Ventura to create this 4 track EP for Gomma. Inspired by late 80ies/early 90ies hiphouse and electroboogie. These tracks are pure dancefloor burners. DJ Rocca (also a part of Ajello, Crimea X, Supersonic Lovers) is one of the key figures in the new Itaian House scene. Not only is he a classically trained flutist featured on "Downtown", he is also remixing for Classic, Rekids, International Feel, Modular, Luke Solomon, Blaze, Isolee, Pete Herbert and many more.

After her critically acclaimed work with New York outfit LCD Soundsystem, Nancy Whang's vocals appeared on the latest Classixx album and now she's embarking on a new four EP project. She will release 4 cover versions of classic tracks from the 70's and all of them are set to feature some big name producers.

First up on production duties are Audiojack and together the trio have created a beautifully floaty edit of Dennis Parker's 'Like An Eagle'. With dream-like arpeggiated synths and Nancy's trademark soothing vocals this a nu-disco roller you need to hear. Better still you can download the Extended Mix for free right here. Rowan Jones aka Route 94 explains how he wanted to “put out three tracks that were diverse yet definitive.” Title track House & Pressure packs a real punch and contains the vocals from Joey Negro's classic Ride the Storm featuring Linda Clifford. The dominant female vocal on ‘House & Pressure’ combined with the force of the drum machines is a traditional element that people connect to the Route 94 productions. With ‘Crazy Bitch’ it’s a more of a big room sound, incorporating ghetto elements. ‘Dark Keyless’ is the complete opposite, creating a groove that aims to grab the crowd and let them loose.

This year has seen a succession of big releases and remixes from Route 94 that cement his place amongst the dance music elite including the recent hit Mind, Body & Soul on Crosstown Rebels. The talented producer first saw fame reaching No.1 in the UK charts with My Love featuring Jess Glynne. Keen to remain on the underground scene, he followed with releases and remixes on Leftroom, Defected and Hot Creations. Overwhelming success followed as he performed at the likes of fabric, Sub Club, Space, Ushuaia, DC10 and many more. With a wealth of new material still on the way and a hectic touring schedule in place, it’s clear this is only the start for the young artist.
