I use a combination of standalone vst, Magix music maker and Fl studio. I am still in the learning phase. I've created lots of original stuff and spliced it with pre-made loops. it's mostly a hobby and have no intention of making money from my music. I try to make music that has a story and isn't the same as main stream.  I dont use vocals a lot mostly because I can't sing but I have been toying with it. one thing thats been challenging is that what I hear in headphones is very different then what comes out on a stereo speaker so most of what I make sounds a lot better with good headphones.
