Inspired by Thomas Newman's style of scoring

Winter

Been sick and feeling sorry for myself so stayed in all weekend writing this second Newman inspired track. I'd wanted to mimick the score of autobiographical films of the late 90's and early 2000's, perhaps about a 20th century scientist or important figure. It also reminds me of the title sequence to Finding Nemo, albeit tugging at the heart strings less, and more classic American period drama.

Another theme idea I've been working on for the untitled space game. This one was experimenting with mixing a bigger, fuller sounding orchestra without murdering the mix, fingers crossed it worked. Another theme idea is after the finale as well, which I thought would be a nice leitmotif for the exploration side of the game / starting up your jump drive.

Magyar

Inspired by Phillip Glass' score for Tales from the Loop, which was in turn inspired by the art of Simon Stålenhag. 

The idea behind this piece is a dystopian/post-apocalyptic setting, where a young child born into a ravaged and dangerous world, notices white dust gently falling from the sky at night. Having never seen snow before, he rushes outside to find the hills blanketed a twinkling white.

A Dance In The Snow

I've decided to create some thematic pieces for my favourite sci-fi setting, specifically scenes in the 40k literature. 

This is a theme idea I was playing around with for Erebus and the deceit on Davin, where the seeds of heresy are first sown. I've just got to this bit in the books again and it's tragic, so I wanted to create a piece that tries to capture Erebus' treachery, the whispers in the Warmaster's ear and the beginnings of what would become the Horus Heresy

Was playing around with the idea of writing a theme for Henry Cavill's upcoming Warhammer 40k television series. 

More memorable TV themes seem to rely on punchy and repeatable but relatively short pieces of music, Game of Thrones comes to mind. So I tried to write something ominous enough to complement the setting, but also with a pretty distinct ostinato, and not dominated by Gregorian Chants and Synth leads like most 40k music seems to be. (I lie, there were about 10 individual synth tracks used in this, also Gregorian Chants rock)
