For the first mix of the year we have producer & DJ William Arist. The Uruguayan artist has been involved in music since the young age of 11 and has refined his sound of Techno over the past years. Last week he released on Frenzy with a remarkable EP and his own imprint Perseverancia is a steady source of the timeless sound we all love. We also strongly admire him for his initiative of raising money for the Amazon with the album Basquade. A storytelling album with a spiritual context.

We are very happy to have to have William on the series with a mix solely of his own productions. A mix that showcases his eclectic production style with a driving and focused take on the sound.

From the dangerous part of the city of Montevideo, Uruguay in late 90s William started his journey in music at the early age of 11 years old helping programming the music and Djing in a radio show of a pirate radio station, since that
moment he never stopped to define his own style and taste of music and improve his technical skills.

In 2009 he started to release his own productions under different monikers releasing several works in digital and
physical formats.

In 2017 things have changed when he took the final decision to focus exclusively on his new project called William Arist, helped by the opening of his own promotion platform(label)PerseveranciaRecords. 

Since then, he played with artists such as; Anastasia Kristensen, C.T.R.L.S., Adriana Lopez, Aleja Sanchez, DaxJ,
DVS1, Eduardo De La Calle, Ellen Allien, Kolpos, Mekas, P.Firter, P.E.A.R.L., Setaoc Mass, Vinicius Honorio, etc.

His eclectic production-wise has let him get a very wide range of options to release his stuff not only in his own label
but also in others like AnimalFarm(Uk), DeadCert(Uk), Tauten(SRB), works that have caught the attention and
have been supported by a variety of names ranging from Alex Do, Ben Sims, Cari Lekebusch, John Selwayor

William Arist is not only a dj, he is also a producer and founder of Persevancia Records.
With appearances on labels such as Animal Farm, Dead Cert or Tauten, on which release i did two remixes for him, 
has made a global impact and is definitely an artist to look out for!

A finales de los 90 y desde la zona más peligrosa de Montevideo / Uruguay, fue que William inicio su acercamiento a la música ayudando en un programa de radio pirata, desde ese momento no ha parado de definir su propio estilo en lo artístico, sonido y técnica.

En 2009 comienza a lanzar sus propias producciones bajo diferentes nombres editando muchos trabajos tanto en digital como en físico (vinio, CD).

En 2017 las cosas cambiaron cuando decidió dedicarse exclusivamente a su nuevo seudónimo ¨William Arist¨, decisión que fue acompañada por la apertura de su propio sello Perseverancia Records con la premisa de editar y difundir sus propios trabajos mostrando las diferentes facetas de sus producciones.

Desde ese momento en adelante a compartido cabina con artistas como Anastasia Kristensen, C.T.R.L.S., Adriana Lopez, Aleja Sanchez, Dax J, DVS1, Eduardo De La Calle, Ellen Allien, Kolpos, Mekas, P.Firter, P.E.A.R.L., Setaoc Mass, Vinicius Honorio etc.

William Arist (William Aristegui) is a DJ, producer, and teacher from Uruguay, with a passion for exploring sound and sharing knowledge. His music blends a heavy, contemporary take on techno, leading to releases on respected labels and support from established artists in the scene.

Beyond his personal projects, he runs Espacio Sonoro, a music production school that has welcomed students from over 15 countries, and Perseverancia Records, a label that continues to grow thanks to a dedicated community.
