Using a form of Just Intonation called Intonalism, all the instruments are theoretically able to play with perfect tuning .. giving an ensemble a fun goal.

Three works:  Romance for Violin and Orchestra, Violin Concerto, and Whistler for Violin and Chamber Orchestra.   Romance is a one movement concertino, around 12 minutes in duration; Violin Concerto is three movements, around 26 minutes; Whistler is one movement, around 12 minutes.

Beginning 

Heart not so heavy as mine,
Wending late home,	
As it passed my window	
Whistled itself a tune

A careless snatch, a ballad,
A ditty of the street;	
Yet to my irritated ear	
An anodyne so sweet,

It was as if a bobolink,	
Sauntering this way,	 
Carolled and mused and carolled,
