STYLSS Sunday Selections: Week 110

After much excitement and anticipation; Future Beats Records are elated to unveil Hallucinature EP from the talented beatmaker Invention. 

As an avid nature-lover from Ontario, Canada; Invention's custom artwork is just as exciting as his music; constantly wondering what incredible  space age woodland and ocean scene he can come up with next. All of his artwork is created with a combination of iPhone apps so make sure you check his work on Instagram // www.instagram.com/inventionbeats

Working off Ableton and a simple Korg SP-170S keyboard in tandem with a nanoKontrol 2, Invention often ventures out into the forest to record ambient sounds with a ZOOM H4n and a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 880's strapped over his head. 

After kickstarting his first sounds with the good folks at @Kolossus-Records, Invention is fast becoming a must watch artist for 2015!

It’s a commendable ethos for a constantly evolving electronic music scene, to avoid any specific genre or trend & stand alone with a unique sound. The Salt Lake City pair do exactly this with the ‘4am’ EP, a 5 track collection that displays the versatile yet cohesive sound X&G have to offer. 

From the very first track, the EP feels like a lucid dream, influenced by a wild variety of sounds, maneuvering with ease from the eccentric ‘MAUB’ & ‘Mancha’ through to ‘Home’, a hypnotizing composition with vocals from the talented Kida.
