Famed for his reworks and edits, Jacques Renault brings a release off Swedish label Local Talk, run by close friends Mad Mats and Tooli.

Based in Brooklyn, Jacques is a globetrotting DJ who also runs the roving Let’s Play House party night and label. Along with regular releases on his own imprint, Jacques boasts music on other scene leading labels such as Endless Flight, DFA Records, Rekids, Permanent Vacation and Defected. His induction into Local Talk's family of artists may nearly break his already exhaustible release CV.

Local Talk is a Swedish label globally known as a trusted source of timeless House music with influences in jazz, funk and soul. Whether its jacking, raw or deep, each release is compiled with care and attention to detail. What binds them together is an honesty that doesn’t follow fashion, hype or gimmicks.

1. Auckland-based DJ Willie G brings an eclectic mix to the scene. 

Originally from Rotorua, he began his journey as a house DJ while studying in Hamilton, quickly becoming a resident at venues like Flow Bar, Sekure, Nitro, and Grand Central. Since relocating to Auckland in 2012, his sound has evolved to encompass a wide range of genres, influenced by his environment and various projects. 

Listeners can expect a vibrant blend of disco, soul, boogie, reggae, lo-fi beats, electronica, and deep house, with occasional hip hop and R&B sets. His versatile sound has resonated in diverse settings, including clubs, cocktail bars, radio, retail spaces, fashion shows, and daytime events. 

Willie is passionate about discovering hidden musical treasures and values the importance of engaging with his audience, which he believes keeps him grounded and committed to his craft.
