Deejay Willy Bean

WHILE people complain about bad business, Willie Bean is all smiles and thinking of ways to expand .
He is a well-known radio and community DJ in Moretele and does not have to depend on his salary to survive.
When he gets home, he puts his headphones and vinyls aside, gets into a suit and is ready to work.
The young and talented Willie Bean (30), of Ramotse Village, near Hammanskraal, runs a computer and sound system business called WT Computing.
Speaking to the People’s Paper Willie Bean explained that he hires out sound systems to people for parties, weddings, stokvels and other functions.
“In school I used to walk around with my brother’s hi-fi as the school DJ.
“I always thought of entertainment and becoming one of the country’s top DJs like Sbu and Fresh,” said William.
He said that while at work, he decided to open his own business to help fix broken computers for his community.
Willie Bean does repairs, installation, networking, hardware and upgrades.
“It haunted me to see my talent being wasted on the street. “I saw a need to invest in sound systems and computers to develop my mechanical skills and help make people’s lives easier,” he said.
Since then, his investment has showered him with blessings. Today DJ Bean is a studio live mixer for the community radio station every Saturday at midnight and a good example for kids to realise their dreams.
“I also want to help young people learn more about computers and how to fix them,” Willie Bean said.
