What shadows have you,

And with all the masks you seen,
Have you learned to see through them?

So for now take care,

of our Sun and a Moon as we fly.
And the breaths,
that blow through our lungs,
are of the same one.
And the sparks,
that grow in our hearts,
were once in a star,
and we are alive.

I followed the clues,
along the trails of my truth.
And there now you dance,
closing your eyes as if in a trance.
And I know,
we've only just met,
but my aim is set,
and I choose you.

With bare feet upon the Earth,
and the sky above,
In the light of the moon
with the one's that I love.

It's not that you taught me
how to look at the stars.
It's that each time I do,
I will know you're not far.
So to which ever path you take,
where adventure calls,
We'll always be in touch
with the heart of us all.

And I will count the days,
with the beads upon this string,
and listen for your voice, 
when the birds of dawn all sing.

By Tomorrow


You can throw all your empty cans at me, 
or fill them up, with your rage and gasoline.
And as you torch the sky, I’ll just look you in the eye.
But by tomorrow, what will you have done?

What will the papers, or the mockingbirds have to say?
Will it be the lead for their first page?
Or will the day go on, like they always seem to do. 
And by tomorrow, I’ll be a piece of history.


I can hear or ancestors whispering, 
don’t you dare make the same mistakes as me.
Instead of endless fights, you could share the stars tonight.
And by tomorrow, you’d have a chance for something new.

So I propose, we take a page out of King and Marley, Buddha, Christ, and the man who wrote Hallelujah.
Cause’ we can make mistakes, and we can also make amends.
And by tomorrow, we’ll have something new.

You’ll see me, and you know that I’ll see you.
