The Willo Collective's first Acoustic and All-Percussion EP. 

Performed by Willo's Jon Brown, Dylan Greene, Chris Sies, and Evan Laybourn. We all performed together on one vibraphone while separately peppering in sawed-off oxygen tanks, chains, brushes, scrapes, and gongs of all varieties. For your listening pleasure, and the most tasty experience, we highly suggest using headphones, monitors, or your circa '92 boombox.

Last summer, Willo approached Andrea Mazzariello about doing some remixes, collaborating, all that good stuff. We ended up sending stems from our recent EP "Alright, alright, this is familiar now." and he got cooking, wonderful surgeon his is. Today, it's fresh out of the oven!!

Andrea coupled this release with a wonderfully articulate passage about money's relationship to artistic craft as well as the integrity and methodology of collaboration. Here's a snippet about his process >
"I searched the stem files for attacks I liked and for discrete sections with their own rhythmic profiles, then sampled them, made pitch alterations and/or ran them backwards and/or used them to generate MIDI data that I then ran through a MoPho synthesizer. The result is an invasive remix, the product of significant surgery. I thought of them as "dark" and "light," respectively, during the composition process."

Andrea has been stellar to work with and we're hoping to do more together soon. Keep a look out, we're baking mo cakes.
